Man IMO HJ's is crap. I dunno if they have changed something or if im just getting old but when i was younger HJ's kicked ass over Maccas. Now days I brely ever have HJ's
Havent tried the Quad Stack - and probably wont either. If its 4 times the greasy crap in their other burgers it'll taste like old leather boots thats been through a mincer and lubricated with recycled engine oil

blanket... Did you have the quad?
I still prefer a double whopper with cheese to anything Macca's makes

The media have been beating this burger down like crazy and it's not even special... They are whinging it has 71g of fat, but the double whopper with cheese that is on the menu permanently has 65g

Ahhh... Just read that they're a smaller diameter burger than the Whopper... No wonder it wasn't filling.

The Pounder is bigger as it uses quarter pounder patties. This apparently uses patties the size of big mac patties, so it's like a quad cheese burger with bacon.

Meh I stick with my usual order of a Large big mac meal and a triple cheese burger

however, the triple cheeseburger from maccas is much better.

hmm yeh my mate and i work sundays 6-2 pretty much 51 weeks out of the year, sunday arvo lunch used to be maccas before we switched to HJs, we havent looked back.
got a bit worried when we grew used to the Widowmaker (hmm, we felt big the first time we did an ultimate, thought it deserved another name

) <heavy pickle, heavy mayo every time>
reading all this i just thought it was a HJ equivalent of the pounder, however, smaller patties n bread?....wtf is the point in that?
Might give it a go this weekend though lol
I saw it on OCAU last night, insane how quick some threads grow in that place
edit: i guess i do have to agree that the cheeseburgers at maccas are better, but i think thats just because thats what a 'cheeseburger' tastes like...though, u need 2-3 to touch the sides
Louie
Sep 4 2008, 07:22 PM
If it's not big or filling enough, you could ask them to make it on the 5" buns and meat, which is what's used for the Whopper range. I'm sure that would hit the spot, surely?

im not a huge fan of microwaved bacon, makes it chewy

like the hungry jack's patties better but for a nice filling burger can't really go past the maccas pounder

or a cheeseburger with 5 or more meat patties on it...

I eat maccas almost every day! I haven't been back to my local one near work for awhile after a pulled the door open too fast when I left (waited 10mins) and snapped the 'door closer thing' off and it fell on the ground!

i dare say it.. yes.. i work at HJ's

the quad stack is pure crap
i work front counter, the whole time i work i make jokes about how f***ed up a quad stack will make you.
often customers come up to me asking for a "heart attack burger" , "a big juicy mutherf***er", or "i saw that deadly fatty burger on current affair shows and i want to try it"
and yet someone had the nerve to come in AND ASK FOR A DOUBLE QUAD STACK!!
so i invented a new burger called... the OCTOQUAD.. it consists of 32 meat patties, 32 slices of cheer, and 3 rashers of microwaved bacon.. all deepfried and coated with cream cheese
that is my rambling about my job at HJ's for today

all i eat there is the storms and the OJ, its good crap.

Only 2 large pizzas a day? Was he/she on a diet?
1 large pizza is a meal fit for a jockey

^ depends on the pizza store. There used to be a pizza store near me and blanky that there large could feed 3-4 people quite easily. But most places now nave smaller pizzas Kel and I normally get 3 pizzas a pasta and a garlic bread to share.
And home made pizzas I makes about 8" thin base pizzas that you struggle to eat more than 2 of
Oh yeah I had 2 triple cheese burgers last night (got peckish on the way home for dinner) and that got me thinking for under $10 2 triple cheesys is pretty filling and if you add fries and a coke ontop of that its almost big enough feed to qualify as a meal

I've killed people for being less of a smart ass - concider yourself lucky.
LOL
But you know what I mean. Like a meal isnt a burger fries and a coke - there always has to be a second burger or a 10 pack of nuggets.
But I wouldnt call 2 triple cheese burgers large fries and a coke a meal - but I would call 1 triple cheese burger 1 big mac large fries and a large coke a meal. Not a very nutritional meal - but a meal all the same
