heya,
I am looking for an amp to run my 2 x 12's. 2-channel or mono would be good, round about 350w per channel, or 700w if it is a mono.
I am looking for a decent brand (no sony's, clarions, jaycar, fusion etc).
Let me know what you have,
Cheers

Let us know what model subwoofers they are, voice coils, and power handling

Not really an issue. I have given the power I require above.
I am not fussed on what ohms the amps can run at, I want to see what ppl have.

well it does matter, someone may have a mono that makes 400w @ 4ohm, and 700w at 2ohm....but if ur subs are dvc4+4, then they can only be wired to present a 4ohm or 1ohm load...so even though the amp may make the required power ur after, its not going to work, because it makes that power at a lower load than what u can actually wire u subs to
for example even further, i have a soundstream 'class a' amp that will make 2x50w @ 4ohm, but it can bridged to produce 1x600w @ 0.5ohm!
now this has pretty much the power ur after, but unless u have 2x dvc2+2 subs, it wont suit you

heya Spyne,
I appreciate your response, and understand what you are saying.
The reason it does not matter, is that I will be selling my subs soon, and will buy a sub to match my new amp.
Also, I can either use 1 sub or 2 atm, until I sell them, so it really does not matter to me what the amp can handle.
I am currently just looking for a nice amp that is good quality and puts out a nice bit of power.
Cheers,

heya Devinchy,
I have seen those, and they are on my list

I see alot of ppl do mods to the 3000's to make the boards 'stronger'(think its just a resitor mod, prob more for SPL usage) , are the 1000's reliable amps?
Sorry for the silly questions, I have searched for reviews on the amps, but have not come up with much.
ps, how much t ship to Griffith, NSW (2680)

Ive got a Clarion DPX1800 800wrms monoblock with 2 hertz es300 12" subs boxed ill let the lot go for $400. I bought new cost me a touch over $1100. Or you can have either the amp or the subs for $200 each
http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products/2007...5294762638.htmlAmp is 2 years old has seen minimal use though still in its box, still have the manual, possibly the receipt but i dont have the remote bass controller.
