Well people in the know wouldbeable to give me ballpark figures for these

T04E/B Hybrid
External waistagte, nothing special (if required)
Piping from turbo to FMIC to TB.
Cost of fabricated oil lines

The EA is getting a blowjob

Oil lines, couple of hundred or so?
Cooler piping, prolly $500 i reckon would be about right
Turbo, depends on whether its new or second-hand. I've seen new T3/T4's going for $1600 odd, so that seems about right for a T4 also

so a $1200 Garrett 42mm waistgate is really not wanented on just a low blow application on my 6.

if you go a t3/t4 hybrid they have an internal wastegate. also the hi flowed t3 exhaust will boost up earlier

Im looking at a T04E/B hybrid or T66/72 sized turbo. AFAIK T04's are not internaly 'gated. A single T3/T4 just wont cut the mustard.

why not just get a turbosmart ext. wastegate? they got both 35 and 45 mm ones now

how much hp do you want the turbo to flow?

Im also doing a turbo conversion to my blown 6 soon, Im looking at a 700hp GT35/40R that flows 700hp or maybe a slightly bigger one if I can get some more money

an external waste-gate is probably justifyed in its ability to give superior boost control, and less power loss compared to an internal at high power levels and with a t3/4 not "cutting it", id say your going for a fair wack of power.

there are t04's with internal waste gate's, GTS-R etc come factory with them, and they sure as hell dont have illegal external ones. talk to a turbo shop about your needs, but the less illegal mods the better in my opinion

Tial make the best wastegates around, and for $400 for a 38mm wastegate you cant go wrong. If you need an external that is. If the turbo has an internal i wouldnt bother changing it for a low boost application.
