any real differences with the avh-6050 and its previous avh-6850 models?

how does the jvc avx-810 compare to these units... just as gd?
anyone know if the previous 6850 model plays divx?

I have the AVX-810 in my car and prefer it over the Pioneer, and bonus, its half the price.

The AVH-P6850DVD and AVH-P6050DVD don't play divx or MP3 from DVD. You have to go single DIN or the double DIN model below.

Yeah i'm another that would take the JVC over the Pioneer.

I just find everything about the JVC better, i also find the sound processing of the JVC to be better.

Two bonus features of the JVC... Gigga MP3 (as mentioned above) and the screen is totally removable!

One thing i didnt like about this years JVC release is that they have done away with the 5.1 processor. And only a single jack output for the sub.

I've allways had the JVC double Dins and we are a Pioneer orientated store

oh oh also, another thing with them... load times... the JVC pisses on Pioneer!

Just whilst your on the topic of double dins, what would the comparison be like between the JVC unit and the apline unit?not too worried about the price as i have had a JVC single din dvd b4 but never had anything to do with alpine, i need something that is still full function as i have good gear in the car already and am still deciding on the head unit.lol

i have the AVX-810 in my subi and i must say im in love its excellent, fully detatchable face, giga-mp3, divx ultra, direct ipod interfave via usb no external interface needed. i feel jvc have the most easy to get around menus also very user friendly. not to mention the funky on screen volume control to impress ur mates haha. and for the price you cant go wrong i got mine before i was working in the industry and i think i paid like $899 for it which is pretty sweet.

Is there a single DIN version of the JVC AVX-810 that has exactly the same features?
I spotted one on the JVC website but it had a bloody front mount USB port! Why ruin an awesome product with front mount USB?!
