Hey I have a VY acclaim (2002 model) and I'm looking to install some parking sensors on the rear bumper, I've had a look around on ebay and there's heaps of kits out there available but all of them state that I need to drill out the bumper to mount the sensors onto the back bumper.. i dont really want to do this because the sensors aren't the same colour as the bumper and it'd look stupid..

I dont want to go to holden to do it because it will cost more than the car.. are there any other alternative methods/sensors to use which dont require you to drill into the back bumper? I'm just after something simple, hook it up to the reverse lights for power, and a speaker which will sit on the back partial or something and beep when I'm near stuff.. no fancy screens etc.

not really, if you want them done right youll have to drill and then colourcode

I would advise against a lot of them ebay ones as they are mostly cheap n nasty. jaycar sell some decent ones which are made by steelmate and of decent quality.

to get them colour coded, shouldn't cost more than $60-70 for a set of 4.

you can also get under-bumper or stick on sensors, both of which i wouldnt recommend.

A four sensor flush mount kit provides the best appearance and performance.

The one from jaycar only comes with 2 sensors, not 4 sad.gif

I found this one from a place in caulfield:
