Hey guys,
I recently set up a website for our small family business that supplies products to the concrete industry.
I have just received our first email order from (I guess I can't disclose much information but...) Nigeria.
No questions asked about the quality of the product, nor specified what type, it was just an order for a 16" Diamond blade.
hmm nigeria... probably cost most to freight it there.
what do i do?...

we had someone yesterday order 40 of a products (was a 5k order in total) gave us CC details and all, we put the CC details though and they worked, and then we got an email from a different person wanting the same product and 45 of them..
we emailed the second person, told them we couldnt do it and also copied a page from some website wich had his name on it (rev Roger something i cant remember) he called us and we told him to f*** off.
the first person, we ended up ringing the bank and they turned out dodge too..

Its a scam mate. They are doing it on eBay. They are buying items with "buy now" then you get spammed, because it sends the sellers contact details to ask questions.

and this is why I have a seperate email account for my ebay and paypal which gets forwarded to my main email address - that way if one starts to get too much spam I just close it stop it forwarding and change my ebay / paypal details to a new email address.
Theres a site about a guy who tracked down some of these guys at one stage - pretty funny read (and some harda$s types involved too!)

Should I:
1. Reply and say, "sorry, we do not freight internationally."etc.
2. Chargers reply
3. Forward the sale to our supplier
4. Send a copy of my credit card details and birth certificate

Ask for prepayment before shipping - standard practice in first time a/c's

prepayment means nothing. if the funds come from a dodgy source then the funds will need to be repaid.
I would stay well clear....

A guy at work almost got tricked with that with a car. He asked the guy if it was for real and never heard from him again.

Damn. That's hilarious. I also read one where someone responded to an email from Nigeria, and got them to write out the whole harry potter book. I think I posted a link to it on here as well somewhere.

That's the one. I'm surprised they actually did it, shows the scammers aren't all that clever themselves
