Reposted as I put this in the general discussion and I dont think ill get the sort of responses Im looking for in terms of advice and opinions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Im looking at upgrading my system. Im looking to get a new pair of front splits and an amp for them. Mounting depth etc is not a problem as im planning on building door pods. My aim is something that sounds very nice, rich top end, punchy bass response, good integration between Tweeter and Woofer etc.

I was looking at around the $800-$1000 mark for the splits. (Dynaudio 240's, Morel Elate 6's, Focal 165K2P etc) Im planning on SD/Sealing the front doors prior to installing these after I audition them all, but Im not too sure what amp to go for.

Ive been looking at the Audison LRx 2.250 and have been quoted $630 for one. From what I've been reading on the boards though the Dynaudio's are rather power hungry and might need more power to be driven properly. I was wondering if this is the same for the Focals, Morels etc and what other options or recommendations would people here put forward for amp and splits. (cost of amp doesnt concern me too much but $1000 would be getting towards the top end of what id be willing to spend on the amp itself)

Thanks in advance.

thanks for the suggestions on the splits but i guess what im more after is whether the audison amp will be able to get the most out the splits, or whether theres a better option available

Having written that though i guess the best thing to do would be to go audition the splits and decide which ones I like the most then come back and ask amp recommendations.

Alright heres my new question. Will that audison amp get really good performance out of splits in that price range ($800-$1000) and what are other good options?

I understand these are all fairly general questions but any further help, suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
