Okay, time to end alot of speculation....
This project was kept under lock and key for the build time for many reasons but now its out and here is the build for everyone to watch. There will be a couple of new photos put up every day or two.
First of all a couple of facts;
- Total build time was 8 days (Many late nights, as it was after hours only)
- The first 2 days were spent planning the build (Intense Mathematics)
- CABIN was our testing ground, no prior testing until going in the lanes
- It is a self powered vehicle
- We've named it " Pushin' SPL "

SPL = 166.2dB Term-LAB
Frequency = 20Hz
Battery Voltage = 9.55VDC
Amplifier Current Draw = 982 Amps
Amplifier Power Input = 9378.1 Watts RMS
Amplifier Power Output = 6902 Watts RMS
Cone Excursion = 125mm peak to peak
Amplifier Full Power Test:
20,000Watts RMS for 55milliseconds @ 50Hz
13,000Watts RMS for 15 Seconds @ 50Hz
Future Enhancements:

And a couple of other things !!
As you can see, our power supply is insufficient right now.
166.2dB is not bad for half power but !!
We can now reinforce the locking system on the cockpit, it was flexing 3mm !!
Here are some build photo's, more info to follow.....
