ok.. i'm dying my hair again i htink....

i want it to be less expensive and less permanent this time... mainly less expensive cause i'm prolly shaving my head in a week or so anyway..

i tihnk red is the go-er again this time for a few reasons, was gonna make it blue the next time i dd it, but the red i did last time went so craptily (lasted perfectly for a few days, and would have lasted longer, but i decided to spend a week at teh beach and ****ed it righ up), so i'm gonan give it another whirl...

as said above, quick, and cheap is the name of the game... but not to th epoint where i'm abotu to pur laundry bleach in my hair then rinse it out with red food colouring..

i'm thinking along the lines of some kind of fudge like product, cause then i knwo what colour it will be before i finish. are there any cheap immitation fudge products ot tehre? how long does that stuff take to wash out, and does it make ur hair like.... set rock hard until its mostly washed out or what? i used to think it was jsut basicllay coloured gel, but then i found out it was semi-permanent... (yeh i'm a bit of a noob at this)

tips? suggestions?
oh yeah dont try and convince me to do differnet colours either cause i know i can pull off red, and i also kinda want to use the red for a themed party i hav eot go to on saturday night.. grrr.. i hate themed parties... esp when they are in the city and not in someones backyard...

Okay Semi permanents contain lower amounts of Ammonia and Peroxide than permanent. So basically the dye used in Semi products are not designed to lock into the hair shafts so it washes out every time!

However to achieve the best results you need to bleach your hair and then add colour to it!

Some products I have used are Punky Colour, Clairol Brights and Fudge – they basically do the same thing – but as your shaving your head I wouldn’t worry about it too much just pick a colour and cross your figures – but in my view its best to go to a hair dresser, as all dyes will damage your hair!

i miss having blue hair, though i went through a few colours, but i only used the Fudge range. kept having to re-do it every week or so, and when i was swimming it'd be every few days to keep it the same colour but as mc_chick pointed out, make sure its bleached before colouring it or else the colour won't stick properly and wont last as long

is that why ppl called you fungus head?
if not, then i'd rather not hear the real explanation..

but.. but.. i'm too laaazy to bleach it first...

argh.. alright. . whats the name of that cheap hair products place?? theres like.. a chain of them i'll jsut go there and beg for everything i need...

priceline or price attack are the ones you're thinking of i think. and if you've got dark hair you're going to have to bleach it first if u want a bright colour, dont be lazy
