Well people, little over a week remains before Round 4 of Eclipse CAASQ returns to Hektik Car Audio in Brunswick for the second time in 2005. Hopefully most of you will remember what a good time everyone had at the last event held at Hektik and will already have this upcoming event noted down in your calendars.

In all states, we're seeing too much of "I'm out, car's not ready" or similar.

That's not very good really. This is the competition date (nine times out of ten known well in advance) and that's when the cars should be ready for.

This constant "car's not ready" attitude is resulting in dwindling numbers of CAASQ competitors at events, resulting in no return for the hosts who pay for the events!

I hate to say it (and even dramatise), but if numbers don't pick up again, CAASQ's future is not healthy! VIC and NSW especially!

We make our effort and volunteer out time (weekends!) as well as the hosts as well, but the competitors need to make an effort too.

I really don't think that's unreasonable.

PS. I do realise there are some unforseeable circumstances and even financial hardship for other, but I'm generalising here.

I notice this pattern frequently too.... however I also do see a good turnout nonethelss and heaps of entrants rocking up.. even if it is late.. but still, there is an event calender up for a reason.... notice of events WELL in advance, so Marc, I will back you up on this comment too.
