u guys mightve seen my posts about 5.1 surround sound. thats pretty much where im heading with my very first serious system. lol. throw myself feet first into the deep end!

anyways. im from Bendigo, Victoria. so anyone else from the area give us a PM and we can have a chat.

well. i came here looking for advice and so far the response is great. many other audio forums were so negative. its so refreshing to meet a bunch of guys who are willing to help me spend my money. with no negativity. its just fantastic.

i look forward to showing off my system to any of the meets u guys organise. should be great fun

5.1 is a big step! You need a fair bit of coin if you wish to take full advantage of it by adding a few LCD screens for watching movies, and also making it sound good for both stereo and surround simultaneously (not easy!), hence why it's rare.

But when done well I imagine that the end result would be very satisfying
