okies I been outta this for too long and having withdrawals, time for some good sound in my ride again.
People opinions - I have decided between either of the following, I want decent bass but SQ is the main thing Im chasing -

2 x Boston Pro 10.5LF (DVC 2ohm)
or a
1 x Jl Audio 12" W3v2 (DVC 4ohm)

Either setup would be running off a Jaycar monobloc for now(upgrade later).

Which means the Bostons would be getting -
820wrms between them @ 1ohm
or the single JL would have 700wrms 2ohms.

Deck will be a Alpine 7969R (if all goes to plan)
Fronts are a set of Vibe SA-K60 splits (90wrms)
Also can someone recommend a cheapish 2 chan amp to run the splits?
I have no probs if ppl refer me to someone they know selling one etc

Thanks for the help all.

^^^ they are NOT dual voice coil woofers, single 2ohm so either 4 ohm or 1 ohm if both are run off one channel smile.gif

bugger, thanks for that, can't half tell i dunno wtf im on about
hahahaha

so they'd be getting 820wrmsx1@1ohm between them, thoughts on whether this would be enuff to make them sing?

The Bostons will revell with that sort of power. In my opinion the Pro subwoofers are a superior driver than the JL Audio W3v2 regardless of the diameter.

The JL however (from memory) has its recommended power at around 400rms. You would be prudent to keep the gains very, very low if you decide to go with the JL and be sensible with the volume control.
