Hi all,
I am making the switch from an unfocussed audio system that went doof into the world of SQ and hope someone out there can pass on some wisdom for me.

I intend to run my system fully active, I already own most of the equipment I need - check my signature for more details. The questiion I need answered is: has anyone done, or does anyone know, the best way of setting up a set of Eclipse SC8365 3-way splits full active.

I have emailed Eclipse Australia and they told me to speak with my supplier, and unfortunately they have only ever done passive installs of these speakers and do not know the specific technical specifications of the speakers.

Using a Alpine 9833 and running 3-way mode (high, mid, low) I was hoping to use the following:

- Alpine MRV-F305 (bridged @4ohm to 2x 120wRMS@14.4v) = These will run the 6.5" woofers. I am also considering changing this amplifier for an Eclipse PA4212 for that extra bit of power.

- Eclipse EA3422 (4x 60wRMS@13.8v in 4ohm) = Will run the 1.5" midrange and 1" tweeters.

As yet I don't even know the best points to cross over each component... but at least that information is easier to come by than individual component power ratings.

I would appreciate any help.

Thank you

Murray

Tell David from Eclipse to give you the crossover points or find them out for out or when he comes up here to NSW at the end of the month I will not let him go to krispy kreme hahahahaha

And I know he watches the forums around the place so he will come across this thread biggrin.gif
