I think that you would be able to put a turbo on it the only thing is that i would think that you would have to turn the turbo off when you switch over to LPG. (I assume that you manually switch over the fuel types?). If so all you would have to do is turn of the turbo as this is easily done.
That is one of the benifits of a turbo you can turn it of and on as you like and it has no impact on you car. I would have to think that if you did turn the turbo on while on LPG it would probably stall otherwise run to lean and then your up that one of a kind creek with no paddle.
But this is what i reckon would happen/need to happen but i am only an electrical engineering uni student.

Yes you can turbo LPG cars, yes they work very well. There are several turbo LPG setups kicking around and the lpg can at times mean you do not need such a large intercooler as the cooling properties of LPG are very good.
No you cannot 'turn a turbo off', as it spools up using a exhaust gasses.. You can turn a supercharger off using an electromagnetic clutch but you have no need to as a Turbo the motor will run fine on LPG providing it has been tuned properly.

Actually, you can "turn a turbo off", by running a big wastegate with a remote control of some sort, so the exhaust simply bypasses the exhaust turbine. easy as pie. Its equivalent to setting 0 on a boost controller.

and depending your setup, you have to run your gas mixer after the intercooler, or else you will fill the intercooler with lpg (makes a good bang on a backfire).
and blow off valves are a no no as you will spray lpg out as well as air.

shouldn be a problem if its plumbed back?

But why would you want a ton of LPG dumped into your air box? did someone say fire hazard?
And running a dual header setup for bypassing the turbo isnt practical, not to meantion the extra room required in the engine bay.

f*** it dont use an intercooler LPG loves forced induction and dont run dual fuel - no point having a HiPo car if you cant tune it in properlly

with modern ecu u can tune dual fuel quite well, commodores for example use twin tables, a completely different set of fuel/ignition maps, for petrol and lpg

yes thats true but its still a comprimise. LPG motors benifit from differnt shapped piston crowns different compression. different spark gap etc just for a start. the best way is to go one fuel.

true true, but dual fuel can still be effective, and its gone along way since its "dual fuel is gay" days

very true. gone are the days where LPG mixers were about as advanced as your average lawnmower carbie

and LPG only cars are great when you run outta gas!!! bahahahahaha

9kg gas bottles are availible at nearly every service station

not hard to make one connect to your car gas system (although i belive it could be illegal not sure) and its better fuel

gone are the days when you could get straight Propane.

Komodo that is definatly illegal, plus the fittings on 9kg LPG cylinder are LH thread and car gas is normally rh.
But yeah the good ol gas mixes are gone now and we get utter crap!
Just like the good old days of Super!!!

well how about u put the bov b4 themixer, i kno its ideal clsoer to the butterfly, but itd be better than no box, turbine stall kills turbos esp, ceramic ones...
