Hi Guys n Gals
I'm trying to find info on any 6 channel amps capable of running an active 3-way front stage. Some minimum specs that would be preferable are:
1) 4 channels @ 75w aprox
2) 2 channels @ 100w aprox
3) onboard crossovers if possible

I love the specs of the Audison VRx6.420 but not the $2000+ price tag.
Other similar spec products I've found are:
JBL - GTO755.6 60w x 4 + 107w x2 (4ohm) around $600.
Audiobahn A6601T 75w x 6 (4ohm) 105w x 6(2ohm)
Zapco 650.6 6x50w (4ohm) 6x104w(2ohm)
Audio Systems F6-380 6 x 60w

some i feel are a little under powered and others I just couldn't find prices on.
Can anyone give me advice to which I should steer clear of as well.
Cheers

P.S. Thanx to Richard(shiny_car) for pointing me in the right direction

zapco 6 channel not available here as far as im aware, the others i dont know. the vrx is your best bet for SQ IMO.

why not go for a 4 channel and a 2 channel for example? if thats an option...

the 4 + 2 would be my second option if i exhaust the first.
btw i'll be running Alpine SPX 6" 4" and tweets off an Alpine 7998

i agree, although something like the audison VRx is probably overcapitalising too.

SPX drivers a good midspec, so worth going with similarly good midspec amps. you could start with a 4-channel and run things semi-actively: 6.5" off ch.3-4 and mid+tweet off ch.1-2 retaining the passive xover. later add a matching 2-channel when you can. in the end, run the woofers off a more powerful 2-channel, so maybe a 4x50ish amp now and 2x80ish amp later. and in fact, with my setup of VRx amps, i actually rely on a separate 2-channel VRx2.150 for the 7" door woofers cos i found the extra grunt beneficial; ch.5-6 of the VRx6.420 run rear speakers.

amps i like include:
*boston acoustics
*phoenix gold xenon series
*digital designs

others i'd consider would be:
*alpine V12: no 2-channel in current series (maybe 2x 4-channel, bridging one)
*JL audio / series: no 2-channel in australia (as above)
*soundstream
*audison LRx

i know little of zapco except for a good rep.

I think I'll have to go S/H cause quality is damn expensive new.

As Shiny suggested, you could go with our C4 and C2.

It would give:

2x70Wrms tweeters
2x140Wrms mids
2x175Wrms midbass.

All have 24dB on board high-pass and band-pass crossovers. However the combo is $799+$599, but that would be a crazy amount of power.

I'd maybe stick with a passvie crossover from the tweeter to mid, and go active from the midbass, then you'd only need a C4 ($799).
