We'll keep this thread up to date as we find more information, but known presently is the following:
December 10th (Saturday), 2005
Wagga Wagga Showground, NSW
The TOP 5 competitors (from the leaderboard), from each class in each state will receive an invitation to compete at this event.
Eclipse CAASQ National Finals will run along side dB Drag Racing National Finals.
Presentation of both STATE Series Trophies, and the National Finals Trophies will take place on the Saturday night.
Judges in attendance from around the country will be involved in National Judges Training on the Friday Night.
Every car will be judged twice during National Finals (two teams of judges - made up from different states) - Final Score is then averaged between the two teams scores.
Sudden Death / Diqualification will apply at National Finals on ALL Safety Components of judging sheet.
Fire Extinguishers will be COMPULSORY.
Grommets on power cables running through firewalls WILL BE CHECKED.
I'll add more as it is known.

So Sydney got just over double the votes of Wagga.....but we're going to Wagga?
How about the only ones who SHOULD vote, are the ones invited

I'd think about it if i was invited.....tough to get time off if im working though - being December and all (year end for Banks + Xmas around the corner).
Can you come without your car/stereo?

I'd have to get time off but I'm fairly certain I'll be there.
Sydney I'd be 100% in attendance but at the moment I guesstimate 65%: a good chance

i have a dilemma. due to work, i am scheduled to work across that weekend doing nightshift in canberra. hmmm.
my options include:
1. work as planned; have my gf drive me and the car down from canberra to wagga wagga, arriving around 11am at earliest; leave by 5pm or so in time to return to work! 2.5hr drive each way
2. work up till and incl Fri night, arriving around 11am; can spend the weekend in wagga wagga
3. work until Thurs night and go to wagga wagga.......and forego $3500+ in income

can i be pardoned and arrive late on the day, around 11am?
Fudd
Sep 27 2005, 06:02 PM
if you want i can always drive it up and get kel to drive my car...
then ill just enter it under you name?

Sep 27 2005, 06:05 PM
what's the difference between options 1 n 2?
shiny_car
Sep 27 2005, 06:18 PM
i can't enter the car and not be there!

plus it probably needs tweeking and stuff, and interaction with the judges.
QUOTE (stazed @ Sep 27 2005, 06:05 PM)
what's the difference between options 1 n 2?
option 1: i return to work in canberra for a 7:45pm start.
option 2: i don't return to work cos i say i don't want to work Sat-Sun nights...and lose out on money.
if i won $3500 in prize money for competing, then it'd be simple.

but it's not the kinda money anyone usually wishes to decline; no work, no money.

i also have a dilemma,... my ex has just asked if i want to have my son for some weekends... no offence but he comes first and foremoast... so untill i find out how these arrangments are going to go.. i will have to put everything on hold.. unless i can convince her its a good idea to drive to wagga with mickey..lol...

This will be a problem... I'm in court then

Marc, you know the story with this.... and I ain't happy about it one single bit!
Marc
Sep 27 2005, 09:23 PM
Entirely your dilemma. But I would suggest that yes due to the circumstances we can allow a 11:00am arrival (kicking off at 8:00am) which is going to be the absolute latest (cars judged twice from 9:00am).
Don't forget PM (evening) is trophy presentation.

85% there on invite...
Trip to Bali late November which previously had me returning in time for the finals may have to be altered with all the crap going down.
If I'm in Melbourne I'll be there.
