well put keith!
my install is only a temp install i put in just for these comps..
next year i hope to have another car and another temp install just cause i love to compete (and finaly after 26 years found something that i am good at haha)
it may cost me 1 - 2k just to do the install but im willing to do it just to keep this comp alive!
i have already spend a crapload just to get the current car up to speed (even though the car is up for sale and diddent want to put an install in it!)
but i do now have 5 trophys to my name

Theres not much point in me entering... I dont have my preffered splits in... instead I have some 'secret weapons'...and running off the nonEq'd deck.. and no sub... So I'll just come for immoral support.

Just enter and see how you go, no harm in it. Look at KickerCat, he is a perfect example.

i know what you're saying Mrstek... and I certainly would enter with my system in its previous state... but at moment mine is almost 'worse than stock'

IF you want... bring it in earlier and we'll borrow Keith's tools if we have to to install some gear an we'll tune it in the car park.
Enter what you have on you now and you know what to look out for next time.
Just a suggestion... keep in mind, I'm virtually holding you at gunpoint with this post as it is... so be a good man and say "OK Tiger, I will enter"

hehe

Damo,
The stage my system currently exists in is like entering the Melbourne Cup with a jockey without a horse....

I already know where my system will go wrong

Bottom line... I currently have no equipment in my car, that will actually be in my final stereo setup.

I'll see how i go with my system. Car has been off the road for most of the year with Engine and Gearbox improvements so if i can get the IDMAX's in intime then i be there, although i'm probably more likely to make the November event......
Marc
Oct 3 2005, 09:02 AM
You can do it Pyro

Oh and BTW you may want to add the Season (year) on your title in your signature

Shiny has enough points on him to skip the rest of the season and still win....
I'm sure he can do without 1 trophy for the comp

Hey Guy's,
I was going to rock up at Stylyn on Sunday just to have a look and listen to what happens at these events ..... seeing that I only live around the corner.
But after reading Marc's comments about the small number of competitors and others comments encouraging newbies to enter .... maybe I should enter too.
Is it too late to enter for Sunday? ...... I'd better give Keith a ring tomorrow morning then
Is there any special preparation that has to be done for a competition?
Do I have to bring any special CD's?
Cheers,
Alan

if you're coming from sunbury, it takes 50 mins along the city link/alexandra pde and eastern freeway
or 45 mins from altona through the tunnel
that's assuming no traffic

ummm, throwing all your gear into the car at the last minute just to compete? not worrying about how secure it is, or how good it looks??????
my guess
