Pro Classes Non-Member $65.00 Member $55.00
All [CAASQ] events are based on pre-entry which, unless otherwise stated, deadlines the Wednesday prior to the event date. There is a late entrant penalty for ALL classes except Novice of $20.00

I'm going to inform you all of this now:
At least 2 competitors in each class are required for the class to run on the day. In the event of only two competitors, only a 1st place trophy will be awarded. The second place competitor will still receive leaderboard points, but no trophy.
I'll just also point out now, that in ALL states interest in CAASQ has backed off towards the last half of this season. The 2006 season is NOT definate yet, and unless there is some improved support from the competitor base, we will strongly consider disbanding CAASQ next year.
I hate to add comments like this in, but we have obligations to sponsors etc, not to mention volunteering our own time and often money. We won't continue to do this for only ~12 competitors in each state. It simply is no longer a test to find the best sounding stereo systems when great cars don't turn up.

Sep 29 2005, 10:22 AM
Guys - if you're nervous about entering because of your system, take it from me, JUST ENTER. Even if you get a 'not so impressive' score, you'll know what to work on. Everyone is really friendly - no one is gonna bag out your system, trust me. Remember its not a 'who has spent the most' comp, its 'who sounds the best'. The two ARE mutually exclusive to a great extent... PM/Email me if you wanna know what its like from a 1st timer

Come on guys, as Kicker said, just enter to get feedback on your car. My car is being done up at the moment and i was hoping to enter next year and see how i go (DONT make me miss out!!! LOL). I dont care if i come home with a trophy or anything , they are great days out.

Totally agree with you and Kicker there..
this next comp will be my first as well.. and i'm only after feedback.. if a get a trophy, great but thats not my aim.. my aim is to find out how my system sounds and get tips on how to improve it..
i am getting ready to go all out next season, and i want some competition..

i'll be there with a freshly completed and tuned system..

the atmospere on the day is just awesome, and something worth going to.. even if you dont compete, im sure you will get a demo or learn something..

I agree with Marc on this one...I have watched 2 previous car audio comp scenes wither and die...and they did so from lack of support!...if you guys don't compete, sponsors don't sponsor, stores don't hold comps, comp organisations die then the general public bitch and moan about it...and the cycle begins again
CAASQ strikes a good balance between encouraging amatuers and keeping the competitive fires burning in the more experienced crowd...as Kickercat said don't be scared that you will get beaten...just do as he did, front up on the day, enter for a laugh and clean up with a couple of trophies

...his sytem is no esoteric $20,000 trailer queen it's worth probably not even 10% of that but is installed very well and sounds bloody fantastic...and he should be very proud of it.
We are providing a venue as we have been asked in the past and we would like CAASQ to haven more events but of course if the number of cars are not there...why open your shop for the day, fund the trophies, put on a BBQ, pay your staff etc...WE as in you the competitor and me the industry member are the ones who will make or break CAASQ...if one doesn't put in the effort eventually the other will pull out of it...lets not make the same mistakes a third time.
See you all on Sunday the 16th
