Just curious what peoples opinions as to an ideal amp 2 power and IDQ 12'?

Im looking through the Alpine catalogue but I'm curious as to what other people have heard/tried/tested etc.

Cheers. biggrin.gif

The ideal amp wpould be the most expensive one you can get your hands on biggrin.gif Budget (even if its aproximatish)? Have never heard it but I would guess on a budget the 500W (i think it is) Alpine monoblock (the one below the big one) would be nice if its Alpine you want smile.gif

hmm although the alpine is a damn fine amp not sure if it would suit the sound of the IDQ try ARC audio Tru tech or Audio System or Audison maybe, prbably suit the IDQ better
HooDs
ive been lookn at the ARC mono... 900rms

but if I get that, i'll force myself 2 get the MAX

I have no will power, thus i must buy an amp with a smaller output so I dont spend all of my cash :S
Kev
For general driving its probably not a big issue to have the most power, there's a lot of people on here with smaller amps that ar every happy or with the response monoblock. So yeah budget? An Audison amp would be nice and there pretty cheap smile.gif
HooDs
budget isnt particularly an issue.

i just need 2 control myself....

obviously i'm looking at the m605 as the equivalent Alpine wise..

IDQ 15" anything around 300WRMS-600WRMS it can take comfortably.

So... with this in mind.. the following amps get my attention..

Audio System Twister F2>300

or Precision Power DCX1000.1 Monoblock

Treo Engineering SSXD750.1

Either Alpine M605 or M1005 is plenty of grunt for the 15 aswell, also...

Audison SRX2s

Hope these are of use to you smile.gif
HooDs

Would the PG 600.1 go well with the IDQ?
Tiger
No sweat, HooDs biggrin.gif Glad to be of service

Yes it would be actually smile.gif A Zenon 600.1, you're talking about I'm assuming?
HooDs
Ive seen the Audio System Twister F2>300 first hand.

Wats the retail/rating?
Tiger
Bobby_Digital done a review on these amps. And Blanketman deals with these amps.

From memory.. the Audio system I think its around the $700 mark...

Power wise it is 2 x 150W RMS.. from memory (propably better to check with google).

Hope this helps smile.gif
