I've heard all the advantages of the class D monoblock amps, but I haven't heard many disadvantages as yet...
Is there an audible difference due to the higher distortion that will take away from the reality or quality of the sub frequencies, particularly when used with quite an accurate sub? Has anyone done a comparison to test this with a normal amp and a similar quality/power class D amp?

Some people cant tell the difference, where as other people SWEAR by class AB monoblocks, saying D's sound to "artificial".
I dont have any personal experience, but there are SQ winning cars that have used both types of amplifier.

Not all D class amps are created equal.
Many have there rated power at 2-5% THD, others are rated as low as 0.3% THD, but dampening factoring is more important again.....
