Well I have an efi intake manifold pretty much the same as the one shown below and i'd like to remove all the paint from this so I can polish it up to a shiny finish as it's made from alloy.
Anyways I was browsing through the latest Super Cheap catalog as you do and noticed that they had an air sand blaster kit for $25 do yous think it would work alright for my purpose? I have a compressor already so that aint a problem. Would i need some sort of abrasive to use with this to remove the paint, what type do i use?

Sand blasting won't really give you a shiny finish. It will give you a dull finish more similar to an annodised looking surface. That could look good too though. I'm sure you could find more uses for a sand blaster if you got one but depending on how good the sand blaster is, it may be easier to do as mentioned above.

what im doing to the underside of my car (you can see in my signature) is using an anglegrinder and knotted wire wheel attachment.
Will do what you want, leaves a shiny finish and is simpler and tidier.
