Well i went out and saw it last night. To be honest the storyline is unbelievable, the driving is unbelievable and the cars are friggen rice (except for the muscle cars.....hmmmmmmmm V8's) BUT you pay to see a movie like that BECAUSE it's unbelievable and silly.

Walking out of the cinemas and whats going on outside......first a commodore and then 3 falcons and an old gemini ALL ripping it up and driving like ******s in a friggen carpark with kids around........

One thing i was happy about was that car with the PG Ti Series amps hehe

well i got tickets to the preview on wednesday night, and i loved it. Like Another KIWI said, no-one goes to see movies because they're realistic. I bet half of you saw the matrix reloaded - dont try and tell me that its realistic.

but still that bridge jump over the other guy was pretty cool

Notice how the cars seem to go faster but when they show speedo shots, it always moves from 80-120mph? And never over that (well from what I remember)

So no one went because it's unrealistic...who went for action?? I went for laughs and got a lot of those...so did everyone else on the 10:30pm Friday session at Crown.

I thought it was funny that almost all the in-car shots looking sideways at a driver were punctuated by a gear change.

It's a movie to leave your brain at the door. Same as the last. I still enjoyed them though.

There was an aussie movie called running on empty..old 80's movie...It was muscle cars though.

Good 'ole 57 chevy rippin it up at the end..it was mad as! And a blind guy drove it hahah

just saw it at movie marathon.

I think the 2nd has a better story line but also lacks a bit on the cars with a bit 2 much jumping with shots....

as a movie abotu cars (even though its 60% inaccurate), the first one is better. but the storyline in the first one sucked doodle.

in terms of it being an actual movie (ie. action scenes, good script, things that get you involved in the movie) then i thought hte 2nd one kicked the first ones **** . i mean yeah sure, it was no lock stock and 2 smoking barrels as far as depth is concerned, but for storyline and involvement, i think the fist one was on par with dumb and dumber...

they are both prett decent movies abotu cars mind you, and given teh eternal lack of them that we have we cant complain, but i preferred the 2nd, simply cause it didnt seem to insult my intelligence as much

I liked it ! More Gone In 60 Seconds and less Corny Dragrace Movie With Rice Burners.

The race at the start = waste.. just crap to fill in time IMO. And the jump ? What the Hell were they thinking ?!?

The girlies = My God.. it had a big budget, why not hire some nice actresses ?

To be honest tho, I wanted to see more stupid race scenes and hear more corny lines .

And to the kid who tried to Rho-Sham-Bo me at the lights after the film... sorry, blown Statesman beats Mum's Magna

I saw it on saturday night and thought it was pretty good but there were a couple of standouts for me. First was the girls in front of us going crazy when the black guy took his shirt off. The second was - it doesnt' matter what sort of car you have a standard cop car can keep up with it - this criticism isn't just with 2 Fast 2 Furious though, it's pretty consistent with all movies.

One funny for me though was afterwards we were at the pub and there was a guy sitting accross the road in a crappy really old 323 with a 12" neon stuck to the front bumber and the stereo distorting like crazy off the head unit - he was definitely trying to hard

Actually the “smoke” was nitrous, but not from purging the lines.
If you look closely at the intercooler core on the R34, there’s that looks like a elongated loop on a riser coming from the bottom of the airdam right in front of the ‘cooler.
This is a spraybar that sprays nitrous directly onto the intercooler core.
As most of us will know, when nitrous is released to the atmosphere, it sucks a s#!tload of heat from the air, which means that when it’s sprayed onto the intercooler, it cools the intake charge down even more, making for a denser intake charge, and therefore more power.
That’s the reason there’s 3 big nitrous bottles sitting in the passenger’s seat.
(no, not pure guesswork, there was an article on the skyline in the last copy of autosalon magazine)

It was purging the lines, the spray that was shooting out was no where near the intercooler. But who really cares

I think it was 1000% better than the first, good entertainment. Seriously if you thought it wasnt realistic or had too many mistakes etc then you are missing the point...it is simply for entertainment.

And as for the cops. I dont see how one of those cars could keep up with a fully worked ricer with NOS

at least this one had dragging with corners which ment "in thory" that the drivers had to be "skilled" the bridge jump was a bit over the top tho.

and come on the all american mucil cars there was 1 all american mucil car in the first so naturaly in the seccond there will be 2.

didnt agree with the 2 jap cars against the v8's american things - but it was funny toward the end with the injector seat

the jump on to the boat was a bit farfetched as well

but i did'nt go in there looking for mestakes ill do that the 2nd or 3rd time i watch the movie

Um, I'm pretty sure those stupid smoke vents were NOS dude. Haven't you ever been to a drag racing event? Any drag car running the giggle gas vents some to the atomosphere before every run. I think its when you arm it to build up pressure or something.

Of course, i'm also EXTREMELY sure that there will (or probably already is) an immitation kit that does the same damn thing without the performance gain. ****in stupid ricer crap

Well I finally went and seen this last nite, and I must say, the amount of BS in it compared to the 1st is hardly anything! NOS was mentioned only once or twice, there was only 2 drag racing scenes, and the rest was mainly car chases. And to think there was actually a half decent storyline behind it too!
Quite a decent movie I must say. The rice was deff. down in this one.
