ok i have been into high end car audio for a little while but i am sure some of you on here have more knowledge than me so here is my planned new system with a few options as i am still deciding on a few bits.

head unit alpine iva310 or eclipse cd8455
front speakers focal 165k3p
rear speakers 570cv1
front amp eclipse da 6213
subs 2 x focal 33kx
sub amp eclipse da7232
eq eclipse eq2102
optima red top batteryall stinger wiring and terminals etc as well as a stinger cap

if anyone who actually knows that something is better then please let me know, i listen to all types of music but mostly rock genre so i need a versatile system, anyway i hope someone can give me some good advice

how about Optima Yellow or Blue as the Red isn't deep cycle and only meant for starting smile.gif

Either deck is fine, depends on your personal preference...

Amps are fine...

Speakers... Have you heard them or are they just recommendations from the sales person?

Why the EQ? Both decks have EQ's on board that will be more than fine for the job...

Forget about the cap smile.gif

Have you heard these speakers/subs yet? The best advice that anyone here can give you is to audition them and see if you like them.

Now things i'd get rid off or change would be the Battery to the Yellow top. The red top is good but it is you could say a huge capacitor. ie it release electricity very fast; this is good if you arent into leaving your stereo on with your car off. The yellow top is a slow releasing charge battery which allows you to listen to your system with your car off for a while.

Stinger Cap. Unless you really like the look it and want it FOR looks, i'd get rid of it and put the money into another part of the system.

Other brands to audition.
Speakers: Dyns, Bostons, Eclipse, Alpine
Subs: Image dynamics, Alpines, Bostons

Things to add. SOUND DEADENING!!!!!!

lol hope this helps

[edit] Damn a few seconds too slow lol

heylow,
it looks like u got a pretty good budget to play with......should try to listne to more speakers be4 u choose i reckon. Doesnt matter how people/reviewer rate them though..each speakers got their own pro/cons...as long as your ears fancy them...will be money well spent. try to listen to some SEAS......ive a feeling u will be impressed. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

ok well its the eclipse head unit cos the dvd player wont have room to fold out because its goin in an xr6t manual and the gear stick will get in the way and it wont fold back quite far enough, i will be running my old focal utopia 6.5 splits with this head unit and eclipse amp and hopefully have that running in the next 2 weeks after making some fibreglass door pods and figuring out how to mount the hu. then ill start designing a custom boot install etc
