Alright after looking at a few car reviews ive noticed that some of the new ones have good looking head units, the most recent example would be thins one here...

I wouldnt really call that a factory head unit cos you can buy them from places like strathfield.
I know at one stage either daewoo or daihatsu were puttin entry level units in there cars at one stage

thw worst one would be the ones in the new model beetles.
Have taken it to the service centre on a number of occasions.
It ain't my car so i ain't putting a new one in it.

Ok let me set the ground rules If it comes stock in the car its allowed. That one comes stock so its in
But if it's an option (factory fitted not dealer/aftermarket) it doesnt apply!

i would have to say the mazda 6

There is no doubt that the best IMO would be the Mark Levinson H/U's that are installed in the Lexus'. They are all built by the premium home audio company Mark Levinson. I had the opportunity to play with one at the recent launch of their compact 4WD and I was extremely impressed. The sound quality was exceptional, however the head unit was extremely easy to use, the buttons where in all the right places and the unit was of exceptional manufacturing quality.
The next best would be my old 1981 Corolla

New mirages etc come with a decent looking entry level clarion deck... by good looking i mean it looks aftermarket
The best sounding etc i have heard was in the Volvo S80 t6.
The BA is about the most high tech looking i have seen...

the best sounding stero i've heard is in a lexus i200 or something like that, damn it had sq written all over it.

and the Sirion GTIv (?) had a Kenwood HU with a remote Ask wes about it, he had one
