I'm using zapco 350.2 for running my pro's, and IMO, they do sound nice..

Audsion lrx 2.500 for my 5.5pros, I love it.

srx wouldnt be that much different i suppose as my gains are on like only a quater to a third.

I take it u are planning on bridging the Zapco?

Power wise there isn't a difference, assuming the zapco is being bridged.

Quality wise I'd lean to zapco, as the srx range is audison's bottom end gear and zapco's reference series appears to be their mid range gear.

Zapco is probably a better buy also especially at the price fhrx has them currently. Only thing that might concern you is if the THD levels increase when the amp is bridged...........however i seriously doubt this would be a problem....its just the only reason i could think of that maybe u wouldn't go zapco biggrin.gif

if i get the zapco, it has to be zapco 360.4 bridge into 2 ch getting just above 120rms watts per ch....

just need some more feedback from zapco user or alpine user.... hard decision though sad.gif

I'm using a Zapco for my sub no complaints whatsoever, would like to test it out with something a bit beefier though. As for running splits the zapco's have a good rep and the simbalink aparently imporves the quality a lot more. Plus out of the 3 they look the coolest wink.gif A T-2.100 would look even cooler though biggrin.gif

I should have actually said that I guess as now the Alpine obsessed will jump on me. Let me just clarify my point and state that Alpine do make fantastic amps, I'm just of the opinion they're not nearly powerful enough. smile.gif

Lol, its all good wink.gif

I keep trying to convince andrew to get rid of his alpines and come down the Zapco/Audison path as well.... maybe one day! rolleyes.gif

Thank guys for the reply. in here the poll really give zapco good feedbacks. but i have tried to search in many sites for zapco reputation or feedback from users, doesnt say much. as far as i know zapco manufacture from usa and alpine design from jap/usa but made in china.

another thing i have found out is that alpine bridge has more THD than zapco THD...

hmm

My opinion is the Alpine 540 running them fully active, ie no crossover.
Done it heaps and it rocks, Audisons reliability......., Zapco's Obtainability......

But if you can obtain them........
Andrewl
You see i want something that giving me SQ for my setup and i know i can get alpine mrv f545 $775 from local (i know someone works there) and zapco on fhrx special on $599 (that twisting my arms).

i dont want any thing fancy or too expensive (as my budget around 700-800). but i want quality and SQ and i wont be changing it for awhile tongue.gif coz i want something to last long and giving me good SQ.

As i had for my setup are:

Alpine 9831
boston pro
need amp
eclipse 12"
subamp alpine mono 501

Im happy with my Audison SRx2s - they run my Pro's beautifully smile.gif

The judges think so too wink.gif

Only getting rid of my system because im getting a new car - time to go ALL OUT blink.gif

I need a suga mama....

Those speakers can be bi-amped via the crossovers, so a 4 channel not bridged (so lower THD) can easily be used.
Fudd
so stone is now up for some thread mining huh?

Haha... Some moron must have voted and brought it back up as a recent topic rolleyes.gif
