Hey, thought I'd post this Q here as you guys are the port gurus.

I'm at the point of the box where I have to make a call on the port. I want to get it right as the port I have planned will be hard to change once the top baffle goes on.

My Qs are: How is the length of a slot port affected if it uses 1 (most prob 2 sides) of the enclosure? and;

Will this configuration even work blink.gif

I'll let the pics do the explaining

I've settled on an MTX 751244 sub.
The box your looking at is about 2.5cuft/75lts. MTX recommend 2.0cuft net so I’ll most likely trim a bit off the top to get the volume right.

My considerations for designing the enclosure were weight (only 1 x 12") and keeping it low in the boot (f/g well, odd shape).
Thanks in advance,
AJC

Slots are short 'cos they use a wall of the box. Doesnt matter if it uses 1 wall, 2 or 3, the length stays the same, but its shorter than a "normal" port of the same surface area.

cool, so no probs with the port positioning?? Any better ways of tackling it? Kinda after max performance from this one 12".
