And yes, there's controversy as always..
Cactus Sounds APARANTLY have fitted batteries inside their RF T3000 and MDF sheets in the roof. I wont comment any further as its just heresay on my behalf.
And big props to my boy Mike Bartells with the Extreme Audio EX3-4 van, 175dB using JBL GTi's and Crown amps, go you good thing !

Apparently someone knocked over their console, damaging the CD player right before the final, they only managed 171ish, however they qualified with 178 and serveral guys have said on Termpro that they saw them hit over 180 in testing. OMG!
Immediately after the EX 5 final they ran 175.1 in Deathmatch, that's 175.1
average for 5 minutes.

The car that beat them in EX 5 final only managed 30sec or so.

Man - i've been reading the fun about Cristoph and the batteries inside the amps issues, and all i can say is that the MDF in the headliner was a minor infraction a while back (ie not at these world finals) and there are some interesting debates on what the ruling was on the Panda as the modifications were removed before qualifying.

Worked it out with Andu this morning..
I'd have placed 7th in Street MAX 1-2, or 6th if they strip cactus

Andu would have placed 6th in SS-NW.
Ripped would have placed 6th in SS3-4 with the wagon.. or 7th in StB in the Astra.
And yeah, the Cactus thing is a farce, should never have been allowed to happen, especially not at the world finals. That sorta thing wouldnt swim here, Ange'd bump you or send you home, no questions asked.

He knows the rules.. claiming to not have such good English is lame, and claiming it doesnt say it in the rules is weak.. its in there a couple of times.
When the class rule is ONE BATTERY, thats not open to any interpretation.
When the global rule is NO ACTIVE POWER SOURCES INSIDE AMPS, thats not open to any interpretation.

The amps was moded with 3 each 2v cells not sure of the brand cos it was not printed. Why I did that cos I did not find any part of the rule book that say I could not.
Yes that was the amps I took with me from Europ. No it was not used like that at any other show.
No I did not try to get away with any thing cos I did not try to hide any wire or the extra charger for the cells. Ray opened my back and looked in side and saw the wires right away. He then asked me what was the wire for I told him, his reply was "I don`t think that is legal" I said why not people mod there amps all the time what is wrong with this one? He then said he has to look it up and in a few he came back and showed me some part of the rule book that said some thing about cells and bats. If I saw that rule trust me I would not have done it. I have no need to cheat.
So Ray said he can not let me run my amps like that I need to change it. ( So I did, thanks to Buzz and Will) After they were out I showed Ray my amps and the cells out the amps to make sure no one can say, the amps was not checked after.
Thats my 2 cents.

So do i get some 9512's for Street B Phil

.
I know of someone with a 2 x12" box that's moulded for a Mirage in Street B, and would almost suit your amp mounting too.

Offers around $2000 .

Dry that one out and you could fertilize the lawn.

You knew exactly what you were doing, you have brought shame to this sport and have taken a little something from all of us, the honest competitors.
Phil
Its not just that its BS, its insulting that he expect us to buy it !
