Hey guys we had our DB Drag Sanctioned event today in Adelaide at the Gazzanats.

All in all it was a good day the whole Gazzanats event seemed to be a bit of a flop at least from where i was standing but nevertheless we turned up and did our thing.

There was only six entries in the DB Drag event and was a good time had by all.

Very hot day so the scores were a little on the low side.

Geez, street A was close hahaha

What gear was being used for a 150+ in Street A?? Another win for DD I would expect?

I have a feeling it may have been soundstream ?

Soundstream XXX-6500D amplifiers strapped and a single DD 9512.

The setup in testing was good for at least 151, but unfortunately all scores were down we had problem with the termlab mics couldnt get them going for a couple of hours.

Also the weather was very hot, so the car was only pushing 149.8db untill i switched on the air con in the car and let it freeze the cabin.

Qualifying run we did 150.2 backed up by another 150.2 in final. So a 0.4 gain with cool gear.

The Soundstream SPL woofers didnt arrive on time unfortunately.

The difference in testing between the DD and Soundstream woofers was 0.4 db in favour of the DD, being a more expensive and a more durable woofer.

Cant wait to throw in the new SPLX for some extra sensitivity .

was a little disappointed at the amount of cars entered - the GT Auto team guys were top blokes, spoke to one of the guys and he was nice enough to give me a breakdown of the car and everything. good on ya mate.

was also impressed by the excel with 2 clarion vnet 12s and 1 earthquake amp pulling a semi-decent figure - good on him mate.
