I currently have a nokia 6510 (much like the 8310 but with different features) and want to upgrade.

I am most interested in the sony ericsson T100 because it is small and very simple with limited features, and therfore entirely affordable.

Also interested in the T600 (what feautres has this got over the T100?)

And if i could afford it i would definelty get the T68i.

Anyone know the prices for these?
They are not on http://www.sonyericsson.com

Could i just get some pros and cons from some people who have checked out or used these phones?

Thanks guys

i had a t68i
to put it simply it is sh1t
the software was slow, sometimes taking a coupla minutes just to turn on, the fone dropped out all the time had **** reception most other times
i ended up smashing it against a wall it anoyed me so much

mayb the newer ones are better but after that experience i'd never buy another phone made by them
I had the t68i aswell. the only problem is the slowness never experienced any of the other problems flipside has described.

I still have a T68i and I'm happy with it. I too suffered from the dreaded slowness but ended up getting the software updated and found that definatly helped speed it up. I only ever found it too be slow when typing big long messages but that seems to be fixed also. I wouldn't have another Nokia for quids.

my brother has a T68 (upgraded to T68i) and upgrade to another handset cause he could but less than two months later the new handset is gathering dust and he's back using the Ericsson.

All the phones mentioned are good phones, just a matter of one that you like the look of and can afford.

I have a T68i... my first died in 4 days hahaha

This one has lasted 4 months so far... it does however decide to reset every now and then (happened maybe 10times since i got it)...

and it has frozen a couple of times, which means i just had to take the battery off to turn it off, then put it back in again and power on...

It has some mad features though, and i still love it hahaha

I got it on a $30 plan from Telstra so i can't complain i guess...

umm oyu are trading a rather what was a mid -> top range phone for a low range phone.

The 6510 was a good phone unless there is something wrong a t100 is only going to be better in perhaps size.

Features,
Battery,
Product Support,
Use,
Reliability,
everything on the 6510 would be better than t100.

colour screen!

i thought it was just a gimmick b4 i got one, now i find it is REALLY a lot easier to go through menu's etc

T600 NO WAAAAY!!!!!

I bought one new 1.5 mths ago and im on my 4th replacement from sonyericsson...ive given up and told them to give me a phone that works i dont care what model.

Their reply was "oh the only way we can give you a phone that will last its warranty is give you a T68i,we know it will LAST 12 mths atleast"

HMMM thats confidence in the t600 NOT!

Brother has a T600 - Good for only the size, otherwise its pretty much a basic phone, nothing else special about it.

Had a T68i, Good phone, only downside the slowness which is fixed by upgrading the software. Not worth buying outright, you can get them around here for cheap, ask Slappin Rex, he's selling his!

I got a T100 now, Good little phone, thinner then the 6510, yet it lacks iRDA <-- Which is a bugger considering the way I use my laptop. $249 at Optus

Conclusion: Get a T68i, Heaps of features and stuff, you can afford one if you sell your 6510 and add $100/$150.

having worked with these phones every day for the past 4 years I would not recommend an ericsson.

Yeah I used a friend's T68i, hated it compared to my Samsung T100 which you can get for free on some plans now.

The SAMSUNG T100 is now discontinued, has been for a long time.

Ive got a T68i, had it for a while now, i upgraded a plan i had cos i was out of contract, but i had not long bought my 7650 so i still use the 7650 and the T68i was used by my brother when he lost his phone, now he upgraded his plan and gave my my phone back. I COULD be persuaded to sell mine for the right price

SonyEricsson T610 comes out soon but i think RRP is around $800

yeh there is no point tho if i dont use the features on the 6510, so i may as well make some money on it while i can and get a newer phone just with the features i need.

i wonder what the cheapest i could get a T100 would be?

Free on Optus 33 plan I think... or 500 and up on eBay. Or get the Samsung Rainbow on Telstra's loop. Same phone but with software upgrades and you can download games.

The telstra "loop" phone is the Samsung A-561, and its cdma. Just something to keep in mind.

I am still happy as larry with my little T68i, it has and still does serve me well. Mainly it's the connectivity of it that I like the most. Bluetooth, Infrared etc.

My T300 with communicam broke down within the first week of use. The screen and colour was totally screwed.
Just got it back after a 2 days repair, hopefully it'll be ok...

Wish i bought a panasonic or samsung. 256 colours is not good enough, communicam is handy but a 2Megapixxel digital camera will whoop it anyday.

Themes & polyphonic ring tones are fun but a bit slow and not much memory.
