ok ppl i drove to bris today from the whitsundays where i have been for a week and well i left at 3 to beat some holiday trafic and well I LOST MY LICENCE. it was like 5:00am and i was about 120km south of mackay (about 270km north of rockhamton) and i was doing 137kmh in a 100 zone WTF was i thinking????? $350 fine and lost my licence. ok i am on my P's and not i can loose it for 3mths then get it back with 4 pts OR get the 1 point probationary licence for a yr but if i loose it i will lose my licence for 6 mths. AARRRGGGGHHHHH oh well i can only blame my self i guess i just didnt expect a cop in the middle of no where at that time.

if i were you I would ttake the 3 month option. I know of about 5 people who have goine on it and the results are as follows:
1 completed it with no problem
1 completed it and lost 4 points the week they got it back
2 lost it with about 1-2 months to go
1 lost it only about 2 months into it.
The way the car scene is in brisbane and the way us young people get picked on, you are better off taking the three month option. because 3 months is better than 6

I'd take the three month option. The three month period flies by in no time and you get your full 4 points back. This is handy as it is possible for mistakes to happen....For instance you slip over the limit cruising down a hill... enough to lose 1 point and then you're off the road for 6 months.....Its hard to maintain absolute vigilance for a whole year....Nobody is perfect...

Really??? how many fines do u get a year? It took 7years b4 I got my 1st loss of points (8pts in one month thou hahaha) and been clean since, thou I have had afew close shaves haha.
The above case is a perfect example of revenue raising over public safety. 130 in a 100 isnt as bad as 90 in a 60 or 70 in a 40. The copper prob needed to fill his quota for the shift and you were unlucky one.
Just take the 1pt option, there are hundreds of p-platers out there on 1pt, its no big deal

i think you'll find that there is a 3 month mandatory loss of license, so regardless of what you chose you will lose your license (have it suspended)
if you've lost more points than you currently have (likely) you will then have the option of losing it for an extra 3 months, or serving th good behaviour period AFTER the 3 month suspension.

you may as well take the 3 months
cause the money you save from fuel can also go towards more amps
