hey guys, i was gonna rewire my neons under my front 2 seats cos at the moment they're hooked up to the battery thru a diff firewall used for my amp cabling. My question is , can i just put the power wire of the neon on my 4GA cabling just before it goes into the amp as my power source instead of battery, and negative wire from neon to the sanded back ground pont where my amps get grounded to ?

some guy at autobarn said i cant cos it'd just blow up, but.... will it? cos whats the diff if i connect it straight to battery, or to a cable that comes from the battery ? nothing right?
thanks

There is no difference other than tidyness.

You have 12V and ground at the battery and you have the very same 12V and ground in the boot, the only difference is you will be behind a fuse. I beleive neons draw considerable current on start up which the levels out but I dont think it should be enough to blow your inline fuse.

Just run an inline 1amp fuse...

also make sure u have a switch before the inverter... i put one after the inverter once and it melted the inverter since it was "always on" hahaha
