I got a new DVD player and trying to find a place to put it. Car is a VS Senator. It doesnt physicaly fit in the pocket under the original HU slot cause of the heater box so it looks like it will have to live in the glovebox. If you have an idea for a good spot other than the glovebox let me know. Its standard DIN size like a normal HU. The outputs from DVD are going to the AUX input on the Pioneer HU for sound and the video goes to an 8 inch roof mount tft screen.

Thanks

Was'nt easy but I made it fit without cutting the heater box.

I'd put it in the glove box, but if its mainly for rear passengers mounting it behind the arm rest in the back seat would also be an option.

Under the seat is also an option, but hard to change disks..

Its for front passengers aswell, the screen is all the way at the front between the sunvisors.

I'd love to fit it in the dash somehow somewhere. Glovebox is the 2nd option.

if you've got the patience and the money you could consider doing a statesman dash& consolde conversion as there is actually another pocket above the h/u with a flip up lid so you dont have to look at the dvd player if you dont wanna tongue.gif

That would be a good option, good thinking and I would do it, but my car is a HSV senator and that just wouldnt be right. On a stock commodore I'd do it for sure.

put the h/u in the bottom pocket and the dvd in the original location

Cause I said the DVD player did'nt fit and its a DIN size unit so why would the DIN size pioneer fit where the DVD wont. They are the same size.
Maybe you thought I had an all in one unit with the screen, then what you said would make sence.

Anyway thanks for you input and not to worry as you can see I got it in there nicely.

cheers
blanketman
but that picture is how i discribed it
