Thought I'll start a thread on this..
I've got some fond memories of playing GAUNTLET at the Bawrwon Heads milk bar (opp. the BHP). (Valkirie NEEDS FOOD....badly....)
Some others I love are:
Xevious
R-Type
Pole Position
Elevator Action
I love even more are the pinball machines - I still got to Timezone, swiping that card through Medieval Madness and clocking up extra balls galore!!!
Some of the pinnies I played and loved are:
Back to the future
Twilight Zone
Johnny Mnemonic
Indiana Jones
The Addams Family (my all time favorite arcade game!!)
I can remember spending 2 hours once (at the nightclub ZULU in Geelong) playing the Adams Family, clocking the top record, getting like 10 extra balls and 7 credits or something, and being pissed too. Those were the days!! LOL
What are your favorites???
cya,
Timmy

Anyone ever play the game like afterburner, but the whole chassis was a dome and the whole thing twisted you upside down...
It was a space version of afterburner.

Mortal Kombat(well original 2) were good too. SF1 was cool, then SF2 that was HUGE haha. I remember Space Invaders was still at the arcades when I started going haha back then it was 20c. That Dungeons and Dragons 3D was pretty cool, since it was the 1st, cartoony game.
Sega Daytona had a purpose built mobo with 128mb when it was created, back then it was HEAPS of ram hahahaha.

Too many to mention. I lived at arcades for most of my youth.
Some CLASSICS I can remember are:
Toki
Double Dragon (Beating up your mates at the end was cool)
Ghosts and Goblins
Commando
Mr Do!
Slap Fight
Elevator Action
Does anyone own any arcade games or Pinball machines?? There have a been a few auctions I have been to (When I was poor) and could have bought Marvel vs Capcom (Big Screen) for $450, and Raiden 1 for $700. Why did I have to be poor!
