Full Version: Dual 2 ohm or Dual 4 Ohm Kicker CVR sub

Hey guys i need a bit of advice ..witch subs better and when i mean better i mean better qualty and has a better bass sound..

i got a choice of a KICKER CVR 800 DUal 2 OHm and a
KICKER CVR 800 DUal 4 OHm

These subs are both the same as in quality, the only difference is the configuration. To answer your question you need to tell us what amplifier you will be using?

If its a monoblock, it will provide optimal power at 2ohms, so the dual 4 ohm sub would be the better option. On the other hand if its a 2 channel amp, with optimal power at 4 ohm, then the dual 2 ohm sub should be purchased.

Hope that helps slightly.. although im sure shiny or someone with more experience will explain it better

ive got a coustic monoblock amp.. going ot be running it at 2 ohms..

if you're buying only 1 sub, then get the dual 4, so that you can wire in parallel for a 2 ohm load

if you're buying 2 subs, then get the dual 2's, so that you can wire in series/parallel for a 2 ohm load
