Hey guys,

I am building my mates box for him tomorrow and i am making it for two 12"s. They are the same sub and will be running off the same amp. Now is it okay to make one long box with no divider in the middle of it so they are in the same space or should they have their own enclosures with a divider in the middle.

Cheers

Yeah, it's perfectly fine, the only real advantage I can see of using a divider would be to add some bracing to the box.

Id put the divider for extra strength and If your subs are off different channels they could be slightly out of tune and this would affect them and maybe their lifespan.

He is going to run them of a monoblock.

I personally would ad the divider in, but only because IMO no 2 subs will play EXACTLY the same and you will get a cleaner sound coming from 2 subs playing out of seperate enclosures than a single big one.
