I have a 1972 Valiant Charger 770, it is suprisingly pretty good for coupe. I'll be getting a second car later this year, for dedicated SPL, probably a Corolla hatch of something.

For SPL or music?
There's not really enough baffle area for eight 15s and port for pure SPL.

I'd go six 15s, it's a happy medium.
24 cubes and about 500sq" of port.
Yummy.
