Hi all, i have just bought a pair of Hertz hsk-165 splits and am getting an annoying vibration sound from speakers, the door pods are a full enclosure and are mounted onto the door lining, i reckon the vibration is between the speaker and the pod where they are screwed down, as if they are not compressed together tight enough (i tighten them down to point where it feels as if the tread is stripping the wood). I was thinking maybe sandwiching some thin sound deadener or a type of cushioning between the speaker and door pod to absorb the movement there!, does this sound like a good idea? Do any of you do any kind of sound deadening in your actual door pods? or is it mainly just done on the doors?

thanks!

You just need a gasket. Get some from bunnings, use the door seals. Its like a rubber strip with an adheasive side about 1 to 2 mm thick. They work well and will compress under pressure to ensure full seal.

i did this with left over SD. I cant say it really chnaged anything drastically, but it allowed me to tighten the screws in better and was more forgiving if ur pod wasnt perfectly flat.

I use non hardened clay and work like a charm.
