The 1uz wont fit in the rolla tiger - ive already measured up
you can get it in the 55 (definatly wont fit in a 10 or 15) but you restrict the headers - better off with a 4a series motor

the 1uz's are a nice motor but im supprised by the amount of technology and the lack of power for a jap motor. around 200kW isnt much out of a 4 litre jap motor there are plenty of 2 litre motors making similar power. sure you can imporove on the 200 kW but not greatly before it is no longer cost effective.

Komodo... I have the 55.. and don't worry, I was told by one of these engineers I know I CAN get one in.. it is a tight fit and some work has to be done....

Yeah it can be done and it does fit in the 55 but as i said your restricted with exahaust headers and crap like that - hence why the 4agze (and 4agte hybrid) is such a popular conversion. I personally would love a 4agze powered ke30 coupe with a different blower i dont like the clutch design on the std job.

i was considering dropping the quad cam 3L v6 from a camry into a L8 model rolla once. alas the v6 isnt the "best" motor nor will it fit in a 95 rolla...

i still wanna 1uz in my tonner.. light back end and put a light weight alloy 8 in the front and itll improve the balance heaps! sigh no money

The alloy V8 isnt that much lighter than a holden V8 - personally my choice for a HQ-WB tonner would be a Chev 283 with a light over bore revs like a 4 bangs and has the tow of an 8
