For my next system i'm after a 10" sub purely for SQ purposes.... However i can't really justify spending more than $500 on it at this stage, also any more than that and my better half would kill me! ...as much as i would love something like an IDmax

So, getting to the point of my post... in regards to SQ, what subs for under $500 should i have a look at?

EDIT: Keep in mind im only able to feed it 450 watts at the moment.. i guess the sub i end up going for will determine if my amp needs an upgrade.

You really only need to spend $500 plus if you plan on throwing 1000Wrms or more at it.

There are tonnes of great sounding woofers well under $500, that will happliy take 300-600Wrms.

get that pioneer TS-W5000SPL on the forums for $500.. might be an SPL oriented sub but ive what ive read and peoples comments, it is a brilliant sq sub too
