Can you guys give him some decent responses?!
Stores to look up when you get here are Ryda, Strathfield, JB Hifi.
I suggest going to
http://www.yellowpages.com.au and just type in car audio.

Try posting up your experience, training, pictures of YOUR installs etc etc. I'm sure there are stores from that area come in here for a read..

In brisbane, you have a few stores/chains to check out.
Northfield Car Sound - 3 stores (in brisbane)
Gold Coast Car Sound - 3 stores (2 in bris, 1 on gold coast)
Complete Car Sound
Advanced Car Audio - 2 or 3 stores?
Custom Image
Campbells Car Sound
Maroochy Car Sound (sunshine coast)
INCAR (gold coast)
Thats most of the specialist stores I can think of, then you have the chains which have a few stores all over the place;
JB Hifi
Autobarn
Brisbane Car Sound (strathfield)

He is refering to the method of install rather than the type.
There are two types of audio store in my opinion. Ones that do car audio as a passion and ones that want to make money.
Our primary purpose is to make cars sound good. Therefore we tend to take a long time installing, we use only the best quality gear and interconnects and we also charge high rates to achieve results. But we never get cars coming back with problems and we retain 95% of our customers for life. Matter of fact, some we've had some for almost 30 years now.
Other stores which will remain unamed simply get cars in the door and out the door to chase the dollar. A fair proportion of these afore mentioned cars end up on my workshop floor being re-done correctly too just quietly.
I hope that sorts out what he means? Or maybe I'm just rambling on again.
