anywho....

im rewiring my whole car and come to the head light, park light, instrument dimmer switch unit.. in the gemini the switch gets power in and then sends it where ever with no relays, and looking over the wiring diagram for some reason the head lights power wire also powers 7-8 other dash items.. wish seems abit sus to me.. anyways.. trying to understand the switch unit is giving me a head ache, with nothign matchign the cars wiring diagram. i was thinking of just replacing the whole head light switch unit for a 2 stage switch from jaycar or the likes (stage one, parkers on, stage 2 parkers and head lights on) and a seperat dimmer switch for the instument cluster...

so i have a relay for the head lights as they woudl draw the most power and i dont wanna run all that power thought the switch like the stock item did.. but would i need relay(s) for the 4 front and 2 read park lights?? these are just small bulbs and doubt they would draw much amps.. would i be able to get a switch capable of powering the 6 parker bulbs and turnign the head light relay on??

reson i asked is i had air horns back in the day and i didnt bother with a relay and it melted the swich (literaly) .. im assuming the air horn compressor would have been drawing alot more ams tho.. lol

any help would be appriciated

sorry, but i didnt read everything... but the headlights power 7 or 8 other dash items.. that is not suss, its all good... when they are on, all your dash lights come on, (speedo, radio, etc etc)... so that should all be normal...

sorry cant help with anything else...

park lights work dash lights not your head lights...

by 7-8 other dash items i mean, the radio and the demister and a few other od things
