check the yellow pages: plastics-products -wholesalers/manufacturers.

in the past i've used my local supplier (ResiPlex, Geelong) for many acrylic/perspex pieces. i usually supply a fullsize template made of thick cardboard for them to work off. they then use their computer-operated CNC router and cut it out.

perspex/acrylic is expensive. a 20~25mm piece around 600x400mm, with hole cut out for sub, is unlikely to cost less than $100~150, cut to size.

if you don't need any holes cut in it, use glass. much tougher and cheaper. silicone it into place.

definitely glass then. far greater scratch-resistance, and cheaper. depending upon whether you'll carry gear atop of it, you can go with 5mm toughened glass; this is plenty strong enough and what i use, including putting light luggage and shopping on it, no worries. i have previously used 8mm plain glass, but was advised that 5mm toughened is stronger and lighter and not much more expensive.
