If the car is in good condition and the milage reasonable (ie under 100k), that is a good price IMO for a registered one of that year (assuming its a real GTR).

You’d be looking at around $27-35k for a good R32 GT-R, so IMO I’d avoid that particular R33 like the plague, for a decent 97 GT-R I’d expect to pay around $40-45k
Also, I’ve seen a few skylines in car yards that have had major accidents and have been poorly repaired, sitting in the car yards waiting for some poor sucker to buy them.
Check for accident damage, any welds on the body that don’t look right, overspray, stuff like that, if it doesn’t look right, walk away.
Also, from a handling perspective, the R32’s and R34’s 0wn the 33’s, the R33’s have a longer wheelbase than the R32, and the R33’s handling suffered because of it, that’s why the R34’s wheelbase has been shortened.

30k for an r33 GTR genuine... hmm something is fishy.. These tend to import from 35-40k upwards so if its a genuine r33 GTR I would get a mechanic to closely check it out.. check out engine wear and tear and suspension to see if actual km match the stress on the engine. Check prior accident damage, and how good the repair job was. I would generally stay clear of car yards myself if you are looking for an import for a good price in excellent condition that wont give you problems check out my site
www.j-spec.com.au/arcane or just look locally private sometimes there is a damn good buy.
Thats my two thoughts
