I done craploads of Soundsystems so the install bit is fine i was just wondering if anyone knew of any sik boot install ideas, i was thinking 2 subs in the back of the boot with a couple of sliding trays with amps in em that slide out when boot is opened, any other ideas would be much appreciated, Thanks a lot,

Yea there was is a weird dint on front corner aswell, looks like previous owner tried to hit it out with hammer, thankgod its on the bottom side of the front bumper, just all little things i got to touch up....
But its had a full rebuild (long engine) only 30,000 ago and lady owner all its life so i not really complaining too much, mags will help it a great deal

started my sound system, in early stages yet but i will eventually carpet everything...
i got to get a shot of it at night, theres 2 red neons in 2 side compartments, looks sik...

I'm waiting on 2 subs and some decent amps, but its all money and on 1st year apprentice pay with a loan i havent got much hope...

got some more pics yesterday...

Hey buddy.
Weclome aboard firstly smile.gif
Secondly, that Northfield Install is a pretty clean example of a Celica install.

It all boils down to really:
1) How much you are willing to spend on it all?
2) What you want to achieve? (Sound as well as look)
3) what gear have you currently got to work with?

You can either be "out there' and do something wild.. or you can do something that looks "simple yet stylish" which usually tends to earn more respect from an installer.

What materials, or dressing, are you working with? Vinyl? Leather? Carpet?

Looking at those other pics, man the paint is awesome looks looked after. Wat r u going to do with the spare tyre? Wat sort of things do u want to do in the install? false floor, etc.
Ye i need rims as well, i got stok ones like yours.
Rustyfella
Yea i saw your pics i am doing something similar with the spare tyre, but not as flash, i am just cutting a circle so if i ever need the spare i can just peel the carpet back, and pull out the circle...
Not to worried about spare, my old piece of crap didnt have a spare the sub sat inside it, only got 1 flat tyre in 10 months... but thats what mates are for...

At the moment i have got my sub (same as yours but custom ported box) against the seat, with a couple of pieces of mdf on the each side with couple of neons behind it... amps sit on those pieces of MDF, 1 on each side....

What i am planning to do (eventually) is to have to 10" subs (more responsive?? what are your thoughts) on each side and to have a higher level shelf that my amps sit on behind the back seats, angled down towards the bottom of the boot, then i will still have enough room to put my toolbox in the middle, damn work....

anyways that prob makes f*** all sense but soon enough i will have pics, as for now its staying pretty simple...

i've got some pretty basic gear, been through a lot of stuff in old car, and just resorted to some cheap nasty crap, goes f***ing hard for the price, cant see anything out of the mirrors... and quality is nice as, supprised myself

I've got...

12" pioneer sub in custom ported box
180W 6" clarion splits in the back and standard speakers in the front (very happy with them no distortion at all, not amped though)
300W pioneer amp to run the splits... (not in yet was too lazy the other day)
aand 1200W boss amp to run just the sub..(i know its cheap but i have figured for what you pay they do just fine, and because its just running the sub quality isnt a big issue either)
alpine head unit 50W x 4, MP3 with bass control 3 preouts...

I want a simple setup that sounds good, i dont want anything over the top, mainly cause i got fuk all money..
pretty much want to keep what i got and eventually build on it... ohh and everything will prob be carpeted...

i dunno what do you think my options are???
