I was watching the news yesterday on that guy who had that heart/lung/? transplant surgery. And they were saying he can't wait to drive his own car that he's never had the chance to drive before.

They showed some footage of it and it looked like the Lancer on the show scene with the Gremlins on the side and the bonnet. Plates were Northern Territory I THINK (red on white). And they wren't the custom ones like the show one.

Is this the same Gremlin car? Does someone take it to shows for him?

yeah thats Jason ( a mate) and they are wrong, he HAS driven it b4!!!
also they said it was a magna which is also wrong!

He at the moment has his brother take it to shows, and he still attends them tho. He was at the Autosalon on sunday!

Haha! Yeah I heard them say Magna on one channel but they got it right on another (and extra footage).

I thought I'd seen that car with NSW plates though. What's the deal?

did anyone notice that when he was in his car his seat belt wasnt on. I wonder how many people are going to say he is a hoon for not having his seatbelt on without thinking about the surgeory(sp) that he has.

its is the NSW gremlin car, just he had to move to QLD to get the surgery, so he re-registered his car (thus the maroon on white QLD plates). As yes, he was going to sell his car to pay for his medical bills, but i think all the fundraisers have covered it.

yeah all the fundraising helped him alot, i think FFF made something like 5grand?i could be wrong, and there was a few cruises organised with donations and things like that.

we got him $5k on fast fours, plus organised heaps of cruises.

a freind of myen had a fundrazer up here on the coast for him as well .. she own a resturant ..... and 50 % of the day's takeings went to him .. and the day's staff .. also put down the pay for that day as well to him ... good luck to him .... very nice car ..
