Quick question. I purchased an 8 gauge wiring kit and it came with a 60W fuse. I have heard 50W might be better protection.

i think u mean amp hey buya 50A and maybe smaller if u arn't pushingteh limits o fteh 8 guage fuses are cheap steros are not. id say go as small as u can with out it blowing or with the 60A in tong it at a burpand match the fuse.

P.S. a fuse will handle mor ethen the normal currnet and might lasta few housrs at 120% load it will only really blow instanly at 200%+ load or short circuit

As a general guide, you usually add up the fusing on your amps and that's what you run as a power fuse. So if you had two amps with a 25A fuse on each, then you would use a 50A power fuse.

The fuse is just there to protect the wiring, not the amps.

Yeah, I heard of that rule before too. That suits my current setup because my amp has 2 30A fuses.
