Stuff that. Go buy a new one, You can get some good ones now for $100. So if your gonna spend that much on repairs, just buy a brand newie.

Depends, you can get some phones that are not locked. I know i have done it before. Just have to check i guess, but it can be done.

i've had phones that were supposedly locked, but worked with any sim card. Just couldnt send/recieve MMS.

if a fone isnt locked because you can use another provider's sim card but you cant send/receive mms, its because the settings are likely to still be with the original provider. You can change these on your fone, but a simple call to your provider's customer care will fix that up.
