Ive just recently bought a Rockford Setup for a EL wagon, im planning 2 save up and buy a VX Commodore, since ive only had this system for only like a month and 5 people have already tried to break in.

my plans involve designing a box where both amps are bevelled into the back off the box so that the amp comes up flush with the edge of the box, my 2 12" rockford p2's are goin to be placed inside that box and will only be visible to anyone when the back seat of the car is pulled down, i will be placing fiberglass around the surround of the sub entry point so if anyone does break in they won't be able to reach my subs.

wat do u think?? yes/no

I think i understand what you are getting at.

It sounds alright, but if someone has gotten into your car, its pretty easy to pop the boot and take the whole box. I think just the fact that people wont be able to see into the boot of the sedan should drop the rate of attempted threads.

If you are really keen on stealth, try and make the amps invisable from outside altogether. So that they cant be seen when you open the boot in carparks and the like.

The other thing is, if your amps and sub are all attached to each other, it is very easy for thieves to take the lot. If they are seperate it will take them alot longer to get it all.

Hope that helped.

install the amps under the front seats if they fit so they cant be seen, make a sub box that sits behind the seats and put a beauty board behind it in the same color carpet as in the boot so it looks like there is no sub box from just a quick glance.

yes my rockford amps are WAY too big to even fit under the seats, ive planned this pretty properly, probably getting a VX commodore which has a dead lock, where u can select to lock the car which u can't open it from the inside, and u can lock the glove box, where the button for the boot is, thanks for the advice fats212 and x 2 tha z

I'd say when you put the box in, find a way to attach panels to each side (with a couple of locknuts, or key-locked bolts) so that if they do get the box free, they cant just pull it out the boot, they'd have to disconnect the side panels. It'd slow them down, at least.

Understand? Make the box too physically big to get out of the boot in one piece.
