DLS in Sweden have issued a statement publically confirming that there is a major problem in China etc with counterfeit DLS speakers and amps being distributed via unscrupulous shops and via Ebay.

Heres the update from them, with comparisons between the originals and the fakes.

DLS do NOT sell over the web, ever, nor do any authorised dealers. If you see 'new' 'DLS' product for sale over an auction site, IT IS FAKE!. DLS dealers are specifically forbidden from selling via auction sites at risk of loosing their dealership, so the odds are highly against any auction product being legitimate. If you feel uncertain that the product you intend to buy is genuine or not, contact the DLS distributor in your country and ask them if the shop is a DLS authorized dealer or not.

The known faked products (there will be others no doubt) include :

• UR6S components
• UR36S components
• PS6 components
• Iridium 6.2 components
• Ultimate A8 amps

Good info there. Where did you get the copies from? Actually bought them from eBay?

had a chat to eurotech about this already. I have fitted PLENTY of copies. mind you they lasted about 3 weeks before the drivers blew.

People really need to be carefull buying anything car audio from E-bay.


Stick to the stores that support the industry and provide helpful pre and post sales support....

i so wouldve been fooled, i wouldnt have told the difference if the Images took up my WHOLE SCREEN, but now im aware, thanx for posting this up

wow, i hate seeing ppl trying 2 use/sell fake priducts, but 2 me they look liek damn good counter feits( i kno they wont sound good)

who ever has done it is a bastard tho...
