Vista supposed to have similar features, only time will tell thou. Personally all these fancy graphics add-ons are useless imo, rather have winfs over aero.

its more than just eye-candy. xgl allows linux to have an opengl accelerated desktop. dont know how i lived without expose (or whatever they call it at novell)
